Trip to the Bridges around New York and New Jersey

Verrazona-Narrows Bridge
During the second week of school, our class took a trip to go and see the different bridges around New Jersey and New York. We visited about 25 bridges. The first bridge we stopped at was Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. While we were driving on it, it looked pretty long but did not look that high off of the river. But when we took a stop at the side of the road to take a better look at the bridge, the bridge was really big and really high off the water. The other thing that was pretty shocking to me was when our teacher told us that the wires inside the cables that hold the bridge can go around the planet earth about four times. We saw few other bridges such as George Washington bridge and Tappan Zee Bridge. Another bridge is being built along the side of Tappan Zee Bridge to make it more convenient for people to travel. It was really worth going and visiting those bridges and i would encourage others to go and take a look at some of these  amazing works.
