Golden Gate Bridge

My favorite bridge of all time would have to be the Golden Gate bridge. It's marvelous length just amazes me and demonstrates how strong a bridge could hold up weight. The bridge was opened in 1937. The whole construction cost for this project was $35 million. It is a three type bridge, a suspension bridge, truss bridge, and a truss arch bridge. The way the bridge is structured is to withstand a great amount of force for it's length. The bridge is considered as the biggest bridge in the world, it spans up to 1.7 miles. The bridge might not be modern but it truly is a strong bridge that can withstand any type of force.

Welcome to the Bridges and Electronics Class Blog

This is where we will be posting our blog entries during this Spring Phase May-June 2015.  We will use this website to let the world know what we are doing in this class during this special time at St. Benedict's.  This site has a nice design, and we can even add photos (this is important in a "engineering" blog) so that the world can see what you've been doing in class, so that they can read about how you made your bridges/robots/structures, and so that they can comment about the work that you're doing.

We should be proud of the work that we will produce, and that includes being proud of our work on this blog.  Let's discuss in class about how to continue to improve our blog, and how to increase the number of views of our website.
